In 1999 he founded the Institute of Electronic Business – the first affiliated institute of the Berlin University of Arts, of which he is the Managing Director. In his capacity as Professor at the Berlin University of Arts, he holds the chair for Marketing with the focus on Electronic Business, as well as conducting the Berlin-based Career College and teaching in various Master’s programmes. As one of the executive directors of the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society gGmbH, he is responsible for the research area Internet-enabled Innovation. Since October 2012, he has held the position of Academic Director of iDeers Consulting, a digital consultancy founded by the Institute of Electronic Business and the Hirschen Group. Besides he is Chairman of the Counsil of Internet Sages, a scientific advisory board of the IEB, since 2013.
Stephanie Schwarz is a theatre scholar and musicologist and works as a dramaturg and production manager for diverse musical theatre projects in Berlin and Frankfurt am Main. Before her tenure at the Berlin Summer University of the Arts she was a researcher at the Institute for Dramatic Studies at the Free University of Berlin until 2010. From 2010 until 2012 she was a researcher at the Institute for New Music at the Berlin University of the Arts and the Hanns Eisler Music Academy. She has led the team at the Berlin Summer University of the Arts and International Summer School of Creative Entrepreneurship as Project Coordinator since 2012.

Matthias Manneck has been responsible for project administration and participant management for the Berlin Summer University of the Arts since 2012 and is now responsible for Web Analytics and SEO/SEA. He studied Public Administration at the Berlin School of Economics and Law and holds a Master’s Degree in Cultural Management and Cultural Tourism from the European University Viadrina.
Cornelia Lakomy has been working at the Summer University of the Arts since November 2018. She is responsible for project administration and participant management for the Summer University. Before joining the Berlin University of the Arts she worked at the Film University in Potsdam-Babelsberg. She completed her Master´s degree in Public Management at the Hochschule Harz in 2019 and studied Social and Cultural Studies (Bachelor) at the European-University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder).
