Between June 16 and October 11 we were happy to offer you a wider collection of artistic and creative Workshops in the fields of Fine Arts, Music, Design, Performing Arts, Creative Entrepreneurship and Arts Management than ever before. We had a lot of new courses especially in the fields of Fine Arts and Design like „Transitions – Drawing and Space“ or „EGO – Visual Identity for Artists“. Classics like our Masterclasses in Opera Singing with Prof. Cheryl Studer and Prof. Gerd Uecker or our Fine Arts Workshop with Valérie Favre were of course again part of our programme.
We are very grateful for all the creative in- and output of our international lectures, contributors and participants from all over the world. Following are a few examples of the highlights in 2017:
Fine Arts: „Transitions – Drawing and Space“ with Pauline Kraneis
In this Drawing Workshop the participants were exploring spaces of transitions in urban Berlin. The emphasis was on practical artistic work paired with critical discourse.
Performing Arts: „The Drama Works“ with John von Düffel & David Spencer
Through a series of precisely patterned exercises the participants were learning the essential elements of the dramatist’s craft and put them to work in their own play.
Music: „A Public Intervention Project with Sound“ with Daisuke Ishida
This public intervention workshop was encouraging the participants to reflect and intervene on spaces of transit and transportation with sound installations.
Arts Management: „Financing & Touring Performing Art Projects“ with Karin Kirchoff
In this 3-day course on cultural funding in Germany the participants learned everything about application writing, project calculation, networking and touring of work.
Creative Entrepreneurship: „Starting your Creative Business“ with Ulrike Müller
Ulrike Müller was helping creative minds to plan, shape, communicate, launch and lead their new creative businesses.
Interdisciplinary: „Digital Materiality“ with Baruch Gottlieb
In this workshop the participants were analyzing digital technologies from their material properties to help graph, what they are, how they are changing us and how we can change them as well.
