Create a fanzine on another participant of the workshop and have a whole week of diverse challenges that will help you reflect on your role in the working environment. Get a curator's perspective on the process of choosing the content, work as an editor by telling a story with the given Information and as a graphic designer by designlng the magazine itself.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this course will be facilitated online using a mixture of daily live-sessions and guided tasks to be completed.
MeMag is a fanzine about one person. Every issue focusses on a new protagonist: the persons’ interests, preferences, points of view. How can you tell a story about someone interesting for others? How can you tell this story particularly in a magazine? How to be a good storyteller? And what is more important, „truth“ or entertainment?
You will experience diverse challenges that will help you to reflect on your role in the working environment. Try out new perspectives as a curator (choosing content for a magazine), as an editor (telling a story with the given content), and of course as a designer (designing the content and the magazine itself).
At the end of the workshop your magazine will be printed out and sent to you.
