We want to thank all participants and teachers for a great 2025 edition of the Berlin Summer University of the Arts!

With this year’s theme Utopia, artists and creatives from around the globe came together to explore visions for a better world from various artistic and academic perspectives. Whether through performances and installations in urban space, experimental printing techniques or working with sustainable materials – our course programme initiated countless inspiring practices for shaping our present and future together.

Our programme continues in January and February with a small selection of winter courses in the fields of arts criticism, bodywork and film. You can find the full programme here.

Our Design

Let us introduce you to the talent behind the design for the Berlin Summer University of the Arts 2025: Marieluise Kämpf! Marie studies Graphic Design in Klasse Hickmann at UdK Berlin.

Her work is inspired by typographic experiments, and she is passionate about dynamic forms and lines, colours and exploring photography.
